Ilford Ortho 80 is a unique low-speed black-and-white film that is orthochromatic, which means that it is not equally sensitive to all colors of light. In simple terms, this film renders red tones darker than other black-and-white films. This results in slightly darker, more detailed rendering of skin tones with features like freckles being rendered more prominently in your portraits. The opposite effect can be seen in blue subjects with clear skies being brightened up.

As a low-speed film, Ortho 80 has very fine grain and great sharpness which makes it a fantastic choice for landscapes and well-lit portraits.

Each roll of 35mm Ortho 80 has 36 exposures.
